Event Production

Through the policy Oxygen Event Services can offer part or full eco-friendly event production services. Many of the accredited suppliers already have their own environmental policy, but they have also agreed to operate by the policy and the bespoke strategies put in place for each individual event.

All technical crews are also fully briefed on the policy and adhere to it through economic use of resources and a recycle & re-use ethos. Here are some details of Oxygen Event Services’ approach to event production:

Approved Suppliers
We will only use suppliers who we personally approve of. All our suppliers work in line with our eco-ethical production aims and comply with the policy.

Transport
There are various ways in which we can make transport more environmentally aware and eco-friendly. In all instances where it is possible, strategy is to limit and reduce transport use and mileage. Where transport demands are unavoidable, will ensure that larger vehicles, such as artic trucks, have Euro 5 engines which comply with strict emission standards. In particular this limits the emission of nitrogen oxides and particulate matter which pose the most serious health and environmental problems.

Power
Wherever possible, events should be run on green tariff electricity. Oxygen Event Services work with their regular venues to ensure this is achieved where possible.

When generators are used for an they will be far more eco-friendly than standard event sets, running at a minimum emissions level as well as at optimum efficiency. Oxygen Event Services strive to specify the optimum generator for the event without over specifying or compromising on the reliability of the power system.

Lighting
There are various ways in which lighting can comply with the policy. Using energy efficient bulbs and low voltage or colour changing units are all eco-friendly options. All our events will, where possible, replace standard Parcans and lighting gel with LED lights. These are undoubtedly the most economical lighting option because they use less power with greater bulb life and reliability.
