The rating system is broken down into three separate categories, which are of increasing importance and therefore value. The three categories have been given corresponding colours:
Bronze Award
Assessing your companies environmental impact from its Operation & Administration
Silver Award
Assessing your companies environmental impact from its product & service
Gold Award
An assessment of Corporate Social Responsibility and Re-investment across all aspects of your company, products, services and events.
Each category has a different evaluation method to ensure all elements of your organisation are audited and accredited by the most accurate means possible. For instance, it may be possible to have a ‘not very green’ product, whilst your business operates in an eco-friendly manner or vice versa, reflected by the rating system.
The rating is in the form of a five star recognition system, ranging from one to five stars across all three categories (Bronze, Silver and Gold). The Bronze rating must be applied for and gained before the other two can be applied for. The  rating, employed through all three categories will encourage organisations to thoroughly address the aspects of their business that have a direct environmental impact.
Rated companies will have to renew their application every twelve months to ensure that the rating retains accuracy and integrity, and to ensure that ecologically responsible practices implemented are maintained.
What you receive?
The award can be displayed on your business stationary and website. A hyper-link will be built into the stars which will send your visitors to our rating webpage, This is a simple, visual display which can be easily followed by your clients. The description of the stars allows them to understand your achievements and your input towards environmental change and sustainability across the industry. |
